  • U.S. residential mailing address to receive your physical B9 card;
  • Government issued ID with your photo (ex. Driver’s License).

Please have the following information available:

  • Valid US phone number;
  • Your Email;
  • Your Full name and Date of birth;
  • Your Full US address;
  • Your SSN or ITIN number;
  • Your US government issued photo ID.

How to upload images to ensure the best outcome:

  • Be sure to take the picture in a bright, well lit room;
  • Avoid any glares, don’t use a flash;
  • Ensure that the entire document is captured.

There could be several reasons why your document is not being captured.

To help ensure that your documents are accepted, we suggest the following:

  • Begin by using the original document (not a copy or scanned image);
  • Be sure to photograph the appropriate document (passport/visa) in a bright, well lit room;
  • Ensure that the entire document is captured and that none of the important areas are covered.

Before completing/submitting the image capture, please check that all documents in the picture are clear and legible.

Linking your checking account is easy!

Important! B9 doesn’t support investment, prepaid or savings accounts. To connect your checking account, first we need to connect to your bank.

We work with thousands of banks and credit unions, large and small. If you don’t see your bank in our list, try our search option above our bank list instead.

Once you’ve selected your bank, use your bank’s login info to securely connect your bank account to B9. We might ask some security questions to guarantee your safety – and that’s it!

Through our B9 Account and B9 Card, B9 will charge you a subscription fee of $4.99 (each month while you are a B9 customer. B9 has the right to change or waive any subscription fee for the use of the B9 Account, B9 Card at any time.

Yes, funds in your B9 account are insured by the FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Company) through our partner bank, Evolve Bank & Trust, up to the legal limit of $250,000.

Money transfers

In the B9 app you can transfer funds domestically to a separate US bank account via ACH or between existing B9 users.

We do not accept deposits by wire transfer, mail, or cash, paper check, or foreign currency deposits.: We are not liable for wire transfers that you initiate to your B9 Account or deposits of any kind that you mail to us, including if it is lost in transit, lost in the mail, or otherwise not received by us.

Wire Transfers: We do not accept wire transfers. If you attempt a wire transfer, the transaction will be rejected.

Cash: We do not accept cash deposits. If you mail us a cash deposit, we will return the cash to you.

Paper Checks: If you mail a paper check to us, including personal checks, money orders or cashier’s checks, we may apply the check to any negative balance you may have on your B9 Spending Account or return the check to you.

Foreign Currency: We do not accept any deposits in foreign currency. Any deposits received in foreign currency, whether in the form of cash or check, will be returned to you.

Products

B9 offers:
a) B9 Account and B9 Visa Debit Card;
b) B9 offers you free advance pay based on your earned but unpaid wages as part of its B9 Advance program. If you have completed direct deposit setup to your B9 Account, we will alert you to the availability of an advance pay through the B9 App, SMS messages and/or email. Eligible users will then be offered the opportunity to receive a free Advance to their B9 Account, if applicable. B9 Advance is an optional, no-fee service for its members.

B9 never holds direct deposits. We will always post your funds as soon as we receive them from your employer or your benefits provider. The timing of your deposit depends on when the sender initiates the payment to your B9 account. Deposits post Monday-to-Friday throughout the day. If you do not see your direct deposit in your account, it means that we haven’t received it yet. As soon as your direct deposit arrives you will receive a push notification and an email to let you know!

Advance Pay

1. Download the app & set up your B9 Account and B9 Visa Debit Card;
2. Set up your payroll direct deposit instantly in B9 or via paper form with your employer to automatically enroll into B9 Advance membership;
3. If you’ve completed direct deposit setup to your B9 Account and we see your incoming funds, we will alert you to the availability of advance pay through the B9 App, SMS messages and/or email. Eligible users will then be offered the opportunity to receive a free Advance to their B9 Account, if applicable. B9 Advance is an optional, no-fee service for its members.
